1963 (Mar 5) – Beatles Record ‘From Me To You’
03/05/2026 @ All Day – The Beatles recorded what would be their third single ‘From Me to You’ just five days after John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote the song. Originally planned as the B-side of the record, it was switched to the A-side during the recording session, with ‘Thank You Girl’ demoted to the B-side.

03/06/2026 @ All Day – EMI Records reissues 23 singles by The Beatles. Each one of them charts for a second time.
1967 (Mar 6) – Beatles Record ‘Sgt. Pepper’ Sound Effects
03/06/2026 @ All Day – The Beatles recorded sound effects onto the song ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ at Abbey Road studios in London. The beginning audience murmurs and sounds of a band preparing for a performance were added, along with screams from a tape of the Beatles in concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
1970 (Mar 6) – ‘Let It Be’ Released in US and UK

1987 (Mar 7) – Beatles on Compact Disc in America
03/07/2026 @ All Day – The first Beatles albums are released on compact disc, including ‘Please Please Me’, ‘With The Beatles’, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, ‘Beatles For Sale’ and ‘Help!’. This is the first time US customers can get the official UK Beatles albums. Previous albums in America were the original mono mixes.
1967 (Mar 7) – Beatles Record Overdubs for ‘Lovely Rita’
03/07/2026 @ All Day – Working on their next album The Beatles recorded additional overdubs for ‘Lovely Rita’, including harmony vocals, effects, and the percussive sound of a piece of toilet paper being blown through a haircomb.
1962 (Mar 7) – Beatles Record First Radio Appearance
03/07/2026 @ All Day – The Beatles recorded their first radio appearance, at the Playhouse Theatre, Hulme, Manchester, for the BBC radio program Teenager’s Turn – Here We Go’. After a rehearsal, the Beatles put on suits for the first time and, along with the other artists appearing on the program, record the show in front of a teenage audience.
2016 (Mar 8) – Sir George Martin Dies

03/08/2026 @ All Day – Paul McCartney was fined £100 ($170) for growing cannabis at his farm in Campbeltown, Scotland. McCartney claimed some fans gave the seeds to him and that he didn’t know what they would grow.
