1964 (Nov 20) - John Lennon on 'Not Only.. But Also'

John Lennon acts out his own “Deaf Ted, Danoota, (and me),” taken from his recent book of whimsy In His Own Write, for later broadcast on BBC’s comedy show Not Only… But Also, assisted by Dudley Moore and Norman Rossington.

1966 (Feb 18) - Brian Wilson Finishes 'Good Vibrations'

Beach Boy Brian Wilson finished recording the future classic song ‘Good Vibrations’, which went on to become the band’s third US number-one hit. As a child, his mother told him that dogs could pick up “vibrations” from people, so that the dog would bark at “bad vibrations” Wilson turned this into the general idea for the song.

1976 (Nov 20) - George Harrison on SNL

George Harrison and Paul Simon share the stage on Saturday Night Live to perform “Homeward Bound” and “Here Comes The Sun.” Earlier in the year, the show’s producer Lorne Michaels offered The Beatles $3000 to reunite. In the opening sketch, he is seen arguing with Harrison over how much of that money he should get.

1997 (Nov 20) - Paul Tapes With Oprah

Paul McCartney tapes an interview and live performance of “Flaming Pie” and “Young Boy” for the syndicated Oprah Winfrey Show.

2008 (Feb 20) - Beatles' Autographed Rolling Stones Album Auctioned

A 1976 Rolling Stones album bought for £2 at a car boot sale sold for £4,000 at an auction. The ‘Black and Blue’ LP was signed by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Paul and Linda McCartney and George Harrison as well as members of the Rolling Stones. The seller obtained the album after haggling the cost down from £3.

1960 (Nov 21) - George Departed From Germany

George Harrison of The Beatles is deported back to England when authorities in Germany, where the band has been performing, learn he is just 17.

1962 (Jun 6) - First Beatles Recordings at What Will Become 'Abbey Road'

The first Beatles recording session took place at EMI studios. The group recorded four tracks, one of which was ‘Love Me Do’ the four musicians received payments for the session of £7.10 ($12.07) each.

1995 (Nov 21) - Anthology 1 Released in the US

The Beatles Anthology 1 was released in the US, featuring 60 tracks including the track ‘Free As A Bird’, a song originally composed and recorded in 1977 as a home demo by John Lennon. In 1995 a studio version of the recording, incorporating contributions from Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr was released as a single by The Beatles.

2003 (Nov 21) - George's First Guitar Sells

An acoustic guitar on which the late Beatle George Harrison learned to play fetched £276,000 at a London auction. His father originally bought the Egmond guitar for Harrison for £3.50. Another item auctioned was a signed invitation to the post-premiere celebrations for The Beatles Hard Days Night film, which went for £17,250.
