A 1976 Rolling Stones album bought for £2 at a car boot sale sold for £4,000 at an auction. The ‘Black and Blue’ LP was signed by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Paul and Linda McCartney and George Harrison as well as members of the Rolling Stones. The seller obtained the album after haggling the cost down from £3.

1957 (May 27) - Buddy Holly Releases 'That'll Be The Day'

Buddy Holly and the Crickets released ‘That’ll Be The Day’ which became a UK No.1 and US No.3 hit. It was the first song to be recorded by The Quarrymen, the skiffle group that subsequently became The Beatles.

Paul and Jane are holidaying in Portugal at the home of Shadows’ guitarist Bruce Welch. Paul ‘Yesterday’ while in the car from the airport to Welch’s home.

All four Beatles spent the day with Bob Dylan in his room at the Mayfair hotel in London, England, watching rushes of D.A. Pennebakers’s forthcoming documentary film, Dont Look Back, which covered Dylan’s 1965 concert tour of the United Kingdom.
