1962 (Jun 6) - First Beatles Recordings at What Will Become 'Abbey Road'

The first Beatles recording session took place at EMI studios. The group recorded four tracks, one of which was ‘Love Me Do’ the four musicians received payments for the session of £7.10 ($12.07) each.

1962 (Jun 9) - The Beatles Back at the Cavern

The Beatles make their first Liverpool appearance in two months, returning to The Cavern.

1963 (Jun 9) -Last Night of the Roy Orbison Tour

The Beatles on the last night of their tour with Roy Orbison, performed at King George’s Hall, Blackburn, Lancashire. It was during this tour that The Beatles’ fans started throwing jelly babies at them while they were on stage, after an off-the-cuff remark on television that George Harrison enjoyed eating them.

1966 (Feb 18) - Brian Wilson Finishes 'Good Vibrations'

Beach Boy Brian Wilson finished recording the future classic song ‘Good Vibrations’, which went on to become the band’s third US number-one hit. As a child, his mother told him that dogs could pick up “vibrations” from people, so that the dog would bark at “bad vibrations” Wilson turned this into the general idea for the song.

1971 (Jun 9) - 'Ram' Certified Gold

Paul McCartney’s second solo album, Ram, is certified Gold.

1977 (Jun 9) - George & Pattie Divorced

George and Pattie Harrison’s divorce is finalized.

1964 (Jun 10) - Beatles From Hong Kong to Australia

On their first world tour The Beatles took a flight from Hong Kong to Australia making an unscheduled fuel stop in Darwin, where over 400 fans greeted their aircraft. The Beatles then flew on to Sydney, where they arrive in the middle of a heavy downpour. The group were required to appear in an open-top truck in the pouring rain to wave at the 1,000’s of fans greeting them at the airport.
