2007 (Apr 12) – Apple Corps Settles Lawsuit With EMI
04/12/2025 @ All Day – The Beatles company, Apple Corps, settled a £30 million ($59.2 million) royalties dispute with the band’s label, EMI. The suit alleged unpaid royalties on Beatles albums based on an audit of sales between 1994 and 1999, a period which included the release of three Anthology compilations. Details of the settlement were not disclosed.
1968 (Apr 12) – John & George Leave India
04/12/2025 @ All Day – John Lennon, George Harrison and their wives left the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s ashram in Rishikesh, India two weeks before their study was complete. Ringo and Paul had already left. Reasons for their sudden departure have never been released. While at the Delhi airport, John writes ‘Sexy Sadie’ about the Maharishi.

04/12/2025 @ All Day – The Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Centre announced that Asteroids 4147-4150, would be named Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr after the four members of The Beatles.
