1963 – Beatles Tour Heads To Scotland

01/02/2020 @ 12:00 am – On this day, The Beatles fly to Scotland.  Their plane is diverted from Edinburgh to Aberdeen causing their first gig, (in Keith) to be cancelled.   Tour ends on January 8th with a live performance on Scottish TV.

2007 – Cristin Keleher Found Dead (She Once Broke Into George’s Maui Home)

01/02/2020 @ 12:00 am –   Keleher was found dead after an apparent murder-suicide in California, aged 34.   She made headlines in December 1999 by entering Harrison’s Maui estate and then cooking herself a frozen pizza.   Police said her body had been found with that of a 48-year-old man in a car, both had gunshot wounds to their heads. 1985 – Ringo Attends Ronnie Wood’s Marriage

01/02/2020 @ 12:00 am – Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood married his girlfriend Jo Woodin at Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, England.   Guests included Ringo Starr, Keith Richard, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck. The couple divorced in 2009.

1969 – ‘Two Virgins’ Shipment Seized by New Jersey Authorities

01/02/2020 @ 12:00 am – The entire shipment of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s album ‘Two Virgins’ was seized by authorities in New Jersey due to the full frontal nude photograph on the cover. The album was eventually sold in plain brown paper in record stores.  (Click title for uncensored version.)

1970 – ‘I Me Mine’ is Constructed at EMI Studios

01/03/2020 @ 12:00 am – Working on the Get Back sessions at Studio Two of EMI Studios, London, Paul, George, and Ringo record 16 takes of the George Harrison song ‘I Me Mine’.   John Lennon was away in Denmark at thetime.   A decade later it became the title of George Harrison’s auto-biography.
