04/08/2026 @ All Day – Julian Lennon, first son of Beatle John Lennon and the only child of Lennon’s first wife Cynthia Lennon. His godfather was Beatles’ manager Brian Epstein. Julian Lennon had the 1991 UK No.6 single ‘Saltwater’. Had a cameo role in the 1995 film ‘Leaving Las Vegas’, as a bartender.

04/08/2026 @ All Day – The first Beatles recording session took place at EMI studios. The group recorded four tracks, one of which was ‘Love Me Do’ the four musicians received payments for the session of £7.10 ($12.07) each.

04/09/2026 @ All Day – The Beatles appeared live on the ITV show Tuesday Rendezvous, miming ‘From Me to You’ and ‘Please Please Me’ (during the closing credits). In the evening The Beatles played live at the Gaumont State Cinema, Kilburn, London.

1932 (Apr 9) – Beatles Influencer Carl Perkins Born

04/09/2026 @ All Day – American singer-songwriter Carl Perkins who had the 1956 US No.2 & UK No.10 single ‘Blue Suede Shoes.’ Perkins’ songs were recorded by Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Johnny Cash. Paul McCartney claimed that “if there were no Carl Perkins, there would be no Beatles.” Perkins died on 19th Jan 1998 aged 65.
