1964 (Dec 1) - Ringo In Hospital for Tonsils

Ringo Starr enters hospital to have his tonsils removed. They are removed the following day.

1971 (Dec 1) - 'Happy Xmas (War is Over)' US Release

John Lennon releases “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” in the US.

1972 (Dec 1) - Wings release "Hi, Hi, Hi."

Wings release “Hi, Hi, Hi.”

2008 (Feb 20) - Beatles' Autographed Rolling Stones Album Auctioned

A 1976 Rolling Stones album bought for £2 at a car boot sale sold for £4,000 at an auction. The ‘Black and Blue’ LP was signed by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Paul and Linda McCartney and George Harrison as well as members of the Rolling Stones. The seller obtained the album after haggling the cost down from £3.

1963 (Dec 2) - Recording for 'The Morecambe and Wise Show'

The Beatles recorded an appearance on the UK TV comedy program The Morecambe and Wise Show. The Beatles played ‘This Boy’, ‘All My Loving’, and ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand’ and also participate in comedy sketches with Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise. The program was broadcast on April 18, 1964.

1969 (Dec 2) - George on Tour With Delaney & Bonnie

In Bristol, England, George Harrison joins the Delaney & Bonnie and Friends tour as a guitarist, making this the first tour of a Beatle since 1966.

1974 (Dec 2) - Ravi Shankar Hospitalized While Touring With George

Ravi Shankar is hospitalized after suffering chest pains while touring with George Harrison.

1961 (Dec 3) - Beatles Visit Brian Epstein to Discuss 'Possibilities'

Brian Epstein invited The Beatles into his office to discuss the possibility of becoming their manager. John Lennon, George Harrison and Pete Best arrived late for the 4pm meeting, (they had been drinking at the Grapes pub in Matthew Street), but Paul McCartney was not with them, because, as Harrison explained, he had just got up and was “taking a bath”.

1965 (Dec 3) - 'Nowhere Man' Released in Britain

The Beatles release “Nowhere Man” in the UK.
