1993 (Aug 26) – Beatles ‘Cavern Acetate’ Auctioned

A double sided acetate of The Beatles performing live in 1962 at The Cavern Club in Liverpool sold for £16,500 at Christies, London, a world record price for a recording. It is bought by Apple Records.
